Welcome --
We welcome all who "hunger and thirst," opening our hearts and doors to you. We believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of Heaven and Earth, and Jesus Christ, His only Son, Our Lord.
This web page witnesses to our commitment as a congregation to teaching God's Holy Word and to our ministry to His children.
As an important outreach of our congregation, we invite our neighbors down the street or the child on the block who has no church home.
We invite you to be a part of our educational outreach. If you would like to share your talents in teaching or helping with any of our programs, please contact Molly Anderson at Church 480-948-1234, ext. 1201.

Policy Reminder
Re: Snacks in Sunday school classrooms
- 2-year-olds through Kindergarten may have a HEALTHY snack.
- If you volunteer to bring a snack to your young child's class, please remember we do NOT allow any NUTS or NUT PRODUCTS. This is for the safety of our children. In some classes there are additional food allergies and the teachers will let you know if their classroom needs to restrict any other foods.

Dates to remember:
Sunday School registration for 2008-2009 begins Sunday, April 6, in the main courtyard.
Vacation Bible School registration will begin Sunday, April 27. 2008 VBS will be July 14-24.
Summertime Station
Summer worship for 3, 4, and 5-year-olds begins Sunday, June 1, at 9:15 or 10:30 (no registration required).

Summertime Station
 This special hour of worship during the summer is designed for potty trained 3-year olds thru those entering Kindergarten.
Children experience God’s Word thru stories, songs, and craft activities. No registration is required.

Make plans now for God’s Big Back Yard….Where kids have a blast serving Jesus! July 14-24, 2008. 
There will be classes for students age 4 through entering 6th grade in the fall, and volunteer opportunities in all areas: teaching, music, crafts, recreation, and administration, for adults and all students who have completed 6th grade or higher. See photos from VBS last summer below.
 Over 300 volunteers will be needed to help our kids discover how much fun they can have serving in God’s Big Backyard!
Volunteers are needed from now until VBS is over in a variety of areas. If you have time to give to VBS, we have ways you can be of service!.

- Our Nursery is provided in the building northwest of the Sanctuary, and it is available during services for infants through 3- year olds.

- Confirmation - A course of study in the Bible and in Martin Luther's Small Catechism, which is designed to prepare a person to make his/her confession of faith and commitment to Christ. It includes participation in worship, in various service projects, and in fellowship events, all of which aid in preparing a person for a life-time of living the Christian faith together with God's people.

First Communion classes will be held on Sunday afternoons, April 20 and 27. First Communion will be Saturday, May 3, 2008, at 5:00 p.m. Communion classes are held on two consecutive Sundays twice during the year. Children must be in the fourth grade or older, and at least one parent must attend each session with the child.
Students register every year. 2- year olds through 6th graders may choose between the 9:15 or 10:30 Sunday classes. 7th and 8th graders have class from 11:45-12:45. High School students meet at 10:30am.
Some of the policies, rules and procedures that help our Sunday School provide a safe and pleasing learning environment for your child - such things as attendance, dismissal rules, visitors / guests, new students, snacks, and changing classes.

The lessons in our curriculum are geared for each age level learner. Enrichment and Memory Work is provided for each level. Third Grade students are introduced to the Bible and receive one.Fourth Graders make a Field Trip to a Prayer Garden.
