Why is Vacation Bible School Important?
- VBS gives children the opportunity to experience Christ.

- VBS opens the window for families without a church home to learn about Christ through the ministry of La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church.

If you do not have a child who will be experiencing VBS, we invite you to consider helping a child to attend.
The estimated cost for nine days of filling their hearts and minds with a love for Jesus Christ is $50.00 per child. We anticipate helping over 900 children discover the fun they can have serving in God’s Big Backyard!

Welcome to God’s Big Backyard!
Get ready for a fun and exciting outdoor adventure this summer that starts in our own backyard. Join us for La Casa de Cristo’s Vacation Bible School, where our kids discover how much fun they can have serving in God’s Big Backyard!

Vacation Bible School is open to children ages 4 years through 6th grade (grade entering September 2008). Registration forms are available in the courtyard on Sunday mornings or in the Sunday School and church offices during the week. Each child will receive a free VBS t-shirt. VBS students are expected to register and attend for the full nine days.
La Casa de Cristo does not charge to attend VBS. The estimated cost for 9 days of VBS is $50 per child. A free-will offering is received daily to help pay for materials.
Each child is requested to bring a donation of 3 dozen homemade cookies during the first few days of VBS. (Please, NO nuts or peanut butter.)
All children will begin and end each morning (9:00 am - 12 noon) at La Casa de Cristo, located at 6300 E Bell Road. Our 2nd - 6th grade students will be transported via Paradise Valley School bus to and from the campus of St. Bernadette Catholic Church / Pope John XXIII School each day.
Our daily Bible lessons are enhanced with arts and crafts, music and recreation. On Sunday July 20th, our children will have the opportunity to sing during our worship services and some of their art work will be on display. Family and friends are also invited to join us for a closing program on Thursday evening, July 24th at La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church

Childcare for Volunteer's Little Ones?
Nursery care is provided for the infant through 3 year old children of volunteers.

Two and three year olds will experience their own mini VBS program. Loving and nurturing care is provided for all children. Parents of infants will be given a pager in case they are needed. Nursery registration forms for each child being cared for in the nursery must be completed prior to June 29, 2008.
YOU MUST VOLUNTEER FOR THE ENTIRE 9 DAYS IN ORDER FOR YOUR CHILDREN TO BE ELIGIBLE.
