Bibles, Beginnings, and Blessings

3rd Grader Bible Presentation

As parents, we promised during our child’s baptism to “place the Holy Scriptures in their hand” as they grew in years.  A special Sunday School program entitled “Bibles, Beginnings and Blessings” was created with the specific purpose of fulfilling this promise.  Each February our 3rd grade Sunday School students are presented with a gift of their very own Bible.

On February 10, 31 third grade Sunday School students received their Bibles as part of our Bibles, Beginnings and Blessings program.  With over 150 family members and friends in attendance, students enjoyed an afternoon of fun and fellowship.

This special event is part of the Sunday School effort to encourage our students to learn about God’s word and how to use their Bibles.  Many of our third graders have already recited their memory verse and received a special “Books of the Bible” bookmark.
