SECRET BELIEVERS

Jim Jimieson and Greg Erdmann will be leading a study using the book by Brother Andrew and Al Janssen, Secret Believers.  In this 6 week study we will be looking at a group of Christians who live under Islam.  In 2 Timothy 4:7, Paul says, “I have fought the good fight”.  In the Arabic translation those last three words are rendered “the good jihad”.  Whether we want to be or not we are engaged in this fight.  But it is not the same fight that we see in the news.  It is a spiritual battle.  How are we Christians going to respond, with guns and bombs?  Is that really our only option?  This approach won’t win a spiritual war.  Join us as we follow these “Secret Believer’s” and what they are doing in the Middle East and how we Christians in the West need to respond.  The book cost is $14.

THE WILL OF GOD

“It’s God’s will” – a term we sometimes hear used as a casual cliché or at other times as a stern dogma.  Over the past 20 years, Pastor Frank Caron, who will lead this class, has challenged church and secular groups to think about “what lies between” these polarizing statements.  The Will of God (Weatherhead, 1944) is an optional study guide for this 6 week class.   You will learn about God’s intentional will, God’s circumstantial will and God’s ultimate will.  The book cost is $5.

THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT

This study will take you for a close look at love, joy, peace, patience, kindness and the rest of the fruit of the spirit.  Drawing from God’s word you will gain insight into your heart that both convicts and encourages.  You will learn how to cooperate with God’s work in your life and see the difference you can make when you let the Holy Spirit reproduce the character of Jesus within you.  Gloria Rice will lead this 6 week study.  The book cost is $13.
