Join Women’s Ministry and embark on a journey to serve God in new and different ways. On the first Saturday of each month, there is a Service Project designed to help the church, the community, and the world.  Invite your friends to join you, and experience the fullness of God’s love by serving others.

Care and Concern with Casseroles

On Saturday, May 3, over 30 women came together to make casseroles for families in need in our congregation. Thanks to Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, the cost of these meals was covered. Many of the recipients of the meals were very touched and grateful.  

We would like to repeat this wonderful ministry on Thursdays, June 12, and July 10, 9:30-11:30am.
If you are interested in helping to make and deliver the meals, please sign up at the Women’s Ministry Table. If we have six members of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans volunteering their time on these two dates, they will again cover the cost of the meals. To sign up, stop by the Women’s Ministry Table on Sundays. 

Other on-going service opportunities

• Assist at the Palomino Community Clothing store. Usually Friday mornings from 9am-12pm, or Mondays from 1-3pm.
• Deliver roses for new babies, from the altar to their families after the 10:30 service. (Once a month)
• Deliver Care & Concern Bags for Women’s Ministry.
• Paradise Valley Young Lives Mentor Moms. Mentors work with teen moms on life skills and Bible studies.
• Campo Bello Elementary: 
  • Core Knowledge Liaisons: One helper per grade  level to help with special activities. 
  • Reading Volunteers: Volunteer to read to children  on the 2nd Friday of every month.
  • Special Luncheon Organizers: Organize and  implement an “Attendance” Luncheon in January & May of 2008. Also a “Soar” luncheon in May.   Campo Bello will explain necessary details.
