La Casa de Cristo offers many
small groups for study and fellowship:

With a Little Help from My Friends….

Sometimes we all could use a little help to get by!  Maybe that is true for you. Or maybe for someone you know. La Casa offers four different groups shown below to offer the support of friends going through difficult times. And participants do not need to be members of La Casa to participate!

DivorceCare is for men and women who are separated or divorced and ready to deal with the pain of the past and who look forward to rebuilding one's life. DivorceCare meets every Fall.

Grief Support Group Meetings If you are struggling through the loss of a loved one, you do not have to suffer alone. Each month, you are welcome to join a drop-in grief support session on Tuesdays at 10:00am to 11:30am and 6:00pm to 7:30pm. They meet for ten weeks from March 4 to April 22. Sign up for the Grief Support Group by calling the church office at 480-948-1234.

There is an ongoing Grief Support Group that meets the third Tuesday of each month at the same time.

Support Group for Bereaved Parents - M.I.S.S. Foundation provides Christian support for parents who have experienced a loss through miscarriage, stillbirth, or the death of an infant or young child. Meets fourth Wednesday of the month during January - May and September - November.  There is no need to sign up, just come.

Celebrate Recovery is an ongoing program for those struggling with and/or recovering from alcoholism and substance abuse, meeting Wednesday night at 7:30pm.  (8:00pm on Ash Wednesday).

The Widows' Social Group (which has a new name: Naomi's Daughters) will meet on Sunday, May 18th at the church for a end of season salad potluck and bingo party. Read More
Have you ever thought about writing? Come and find out what the "Writer's Group" are doing. We meet the first Wednesday of the month from 9:30-11:30am in the family room off of the Sanctuary. Join us on for our next meeting on May 7th. Read More
Next Meeting: May 28 -- The M.I.S.S. Foundation and La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church offer a Christian Grief Support Group for Bereaved Parents. The group meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month. Read More
"Celebrate Recovery!®" is a national program that is similar to a 12 Step Program but is based on Jesus' Sermon on the Mount. By focusing on God's healing power, participants grow spiritually and find new freedom while strengthening relationships with God, family, and friends. Read More
Divorced? Separated? DivorceCare is for you. This is a Bible-based program used by churches across the United States that enables participants to deal with the pain of the past and look forward to re-building their lives. DivorceCare meets every Fall. Read More
Grief Support Groups start March 4th and meet for ten weeks covering coping skills and to where you are in the grieving process. The later meetings discuss more about moving forward and building a strong foundation in your life (Christ, Bible study, family, friends, and helping others), which occur in tiny baby steps at your own pace. Read More

A Cursillo weekend is a 3-day inspirational weekend in which participants not only hear inspiring talks on what it means to be a Christian but actually experience the joy of God's grace and of being part of a loving community. Read More
Next activity -- April 25, Verdi Requiem. People Enjoying People is La Casa's group for people who are retired - even for those who have taken early retirement and the ambitious among us who have gone back to work! Monthly social activities and day trips highlight the agenda from September through May each year. Read More
Annual Culinary Event at Scottsdale Community College on Chaparral Road at the 101 will be on Friday, April 4th at 7:00 pm. The cost of $26 including tax and a modest tip must be paid at sign up. Gourmet dining at fast food prices. Adult Fellowship has monthly activities with other couples fostering fellowship among other members. Read More
