At home in Heredia, Costa Rica -->
Bedenkops in Costa Rica!
Our missionaries, Ryan and Sarah Bedenkop, are now serving with Youth with a Mission (YWAM) in Heredia, Costa Rica. with their two young boys - Joshua and Caleb. They have now moved from Panama, to their outreach in Latin America, and finally to their home in YWAM Heredia.
Currently, Ryan is preparing to direct his first Discipleship Training School, leading short term teams with Missions Adventures, and falling in love with Costa Rica. Sarah is official staff as well, ministering at home by hosting missionaries, leading small groups, planning staff events and preparing to staff the upcoming DTS. Joshua has jumped into learning time and loves taking care of the goats and chickens on the base. He always has wanted to be a farmer, and God has given him the desires of his heart. Caleb ministers through his smiles, handing out Jesus bags, and chasing the chickens as well.
Youth with a Mission began in 1960 with Loren Cunningham's dream of youth - teenagers and college kids - talking to people on street corners, going house to house, caring for people, and covering all the continents on earth with the Gospel. YWAM grew quickly and now has established projects in 950 locations in over 160 countries. To learn more about YWAM, check out their website: www.ywam.org (opens new window) or pick up a copy of Is That Really You, God? by Loren Cunningham in which YWAM's founder tells the exciting story of how this ministry started and grew.

Pancakes & Pajamas!
The DTS (Discipleship Training School) 2007
Ministry in our family takes many forms such as serving yummy pancakes to our DTS (Discipleship Training School) in our home for a Saturday morning veggie tale marathon! Everyone, including students from Costa Rica, Panama, Canada and the United States, devoured the pancakes in their pajamas while we continued to build relationships and share our family.
