Looking Ahead to Summer
Mark your calendars now, so you can make your summer plans around these events scheduled for next summer:
Summer Worship Schedule
Saturday worship services will be suspended from Memorial Day weekend through Independence Day weekend, July 4-6. The last 5:00pm Saturday worship service will be May 17, resuming July 12 . Sunday worship services will continue to be at 8:00 and 9:15am for traditional worship and at 10:30 for contemporary.
High School Trip – June 21-28, 2008
Open to all students who have completed 8th grade through graduating high school seniors. This year’s destination: San Diego! Registrations must be receive by April 13, or they will incur a $25 late fee. 
Confirmation Camp – June 8-12, 2008
for all students who have completed Confirmation Level 1
Vacation Bible School (VBS) - July 14-24
Registration begins Sunday, April 27th.
There will be classes for students age 4 through entering 6th grade in the fall, and volunteer opportunities in all areas: teaching, music, crafts, recreation, and administration, for adults and all students who have completed 6th grade or higher.

Kids + Summer = Summer Fun
Enjoy six opportunities to get together & play with your kids in a cool, safe, & fun environment. These events are for everyone. Invite your friends & neighbors. Geared for kids 0-10yrs. unless otherwise indicated.
You must register at least 1 week prior to the event.
It is first come first served.

Learn how EATING can gain pews for the new chapel. The "Grocery Certificate Program," or GCP, is an easy way for every member family to earn money for the church – just by going grocery shopping.

Next Meeting: May 28 -- The M.I.S.S. Foundation and La Casa de Cristo Lutheran Church offer a Christian Grief Support Group for Bereaved Parents. The group meets on the fourth Wednesday of each month.

Register now for next fall, starting September 9/10. MOPS is a program for mothers of small children to be renewed by the fellowship of other moms. Daytime MOPS meets on the second and fourth Tuesday or Wednesday of each month from 9:15am until 11:45am. Twilight MOPS meets second and fourth Tuesday of each month from 7:00pm until 9:00pm.

High School Summer Trip
San Diego at Christ Lutheran Church!
A week of travel, meaningful service each morning, cool surprises each afternoon, Bible study, plus a fun-filled last day together! The total cost of $390 includes: transportation, all meals, attractions/events, program costs, and a trip t-shirt. (Scholarships can be provided where absolute need exists. Contact Neil Gatten.)
Registrations with a non-refundable $100.00 deposit are due on Sunday, April 13. Late registrations will incur a $25.00 non-refundable late fee. The remaining balance is due on June 1. A Medical Release Form must be on file for this trip.

Celebrate Being a Woman. Remember lunch recess with your childhood girlfriend? Sitting with your brown bag, sharing secrets and swapping sandwiches? It is recess time again on Saturday, May 10, from 10:00am until 1:00pm. Revisit that cherished era - and this time bring along your daughters, moms, girlfriends, grandmas, and neighbors. Next Men's Breakfast at 7:30 on Saturday, May 17. Our speaker will be Ken Matthews, a member of La Casa, who will share what it is like to go from being a healthy person to a person with health challenges, and how his faith has sustained him in a wheelchair! Coffee is on at 7:00am. This will be our LAST breakfast until August as we break for summer in June and July!
116 Hombres of La Casa gathered at Bison Ranch, Heber AZ last year. We will also at be at Bison Ranch this year on Sept 12-14, 2008. Save the dates!!
Have you ever wanted to join a men's bible study group? We have many Discipleship Groups which are bible study groups planned by Men and led by Men for Men. All men are welcome.
