Annual Meeting January 27
Our annual meeting was conducted in two phases, beginning with the election of the Board of Trustees for 2008 on January on January 12 and 13 at all services. Learn more about the Board of Trustees.
The congregation met in annual meeting on Sunday, January 27, 2008 at 11:45 a.m.
- Pastor Garman reported that average weekly worship attendance had increased during 2007.
- The 2007 Annual Report was presented and accepted into the record unanimously.
- The 2008 Program and Building Fund budgets were accepted unanimously as presented by the Board of Trustees.
- The current organ will be removed to storage in mid-May in preparation for the June delivery of the new organ. Installation will take several weeks.
- Construction work has been done on the expansion of the Fellowship Hall and creation of a columbarium.
- Programming for 2008 will focus on spiritual growth and vitality through small groups, with an emphasis on the study of scripture.
- La Sagrada Familia continues to grow as a congregation, with over 500 in worship each week. A second pastor has been called and will arrive February 1.
- $150,000 has been pledged over three years to the South Africa Mission. The money will be used to build a multi-purpose building, feed orphans, and pay a full-time pastor.
- Members of the Board of Trustees and Nominating Committee were installed by Pastor Peters.
