Beginning with the 2012-2013 school year, each month will feature a topic or curricular theme to “discover” such as science, math, art, and much more through age appropriate activities and experiences.
This is a one hour extended time from 1:00pm to 2:00pm each Monday and Wednesday, immediately following Lunch Bunch on those days. Students may enroll in either one or both sections of Discovery Time but must also be enrolled in lunch bunch on the day(s) to be eligible. Discovery Time is open to all students at least four years old by 12/31 of the current school year.
The teachers are very excited to begin our new Discovery Time concept in the Fall. Our thematic topics have been set and are sure to provide new learning experiences through lots of fun, hands on activities.
Our first class will be an introduction, and lead right into:
September – Super Science
October - Animal Tracks
November - All Things Art
December – Christmas Around the World
January – Space Exploration
February – Fitness Fun
March – Folklore and Rhyme Time
April – Save Our Planet/Earth Day
May – Weather Wise
Each week will be a new adventure, and the month will conclude with a culminating group activity. Space is still available, please call the preschool office for more information.
Cost will be the same as Lunch Bunch on those Mondays and/or Wednesdays, and is adjusted accordingly to the school calendar. Contact the preschool office for more information or registration opportunities.
