Men's Hiking Group -
In light of the hectic nature of the Christmas season we'll resume our hiking schedule in January. I hope all of you have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Next: January 21st, Saturday 6:30 AM to 9:30 AM
We're back at it this weekend! Let's start the year off with a great hike in fellowship with each other celebrating God's creation! We'll be hitting the Spur Cross Trail and the nice thing about that is we can tailor the hike to the group that shows up. The trails range from easy to moderate so come one, come all, no man will be left behind. I hope to see you there!
Tim
I hope all of you have had a great summer and are looking forward to another great hiking season! I'm making a few minor adjustments this year, the most important of which is a commitment to being more intentional about starting in prayer before every hike to set the tone for our travels and our conversations. The second adjustment is in the type of hikes we do. Most of the hikes this year will be on the lower side of the difficulty scale from easy to moderate in order to hopefully get a few more guys out on the trails. We'll still do a few tougher ones like Camelback and/or Squaw Peak later in the season, but most will be at lower elevations. Following is the schedule for this year, I'm still working on the locations of all but the first two and I'll update the website when the rest are selected.
See La Casa Hikers Page for the scheduled hikes or the shutterfly website.
Pictures from previous hikes have been posted on the shutterfly website at http://lacasahikers.shutterfly.com/ - the website will be updated with all of the pertinent information about the hikes, including dates, maps, trail descriptions and meeting locations.
Thanks again for your interest, and I hope to see all of you on the trail at least once in the coming months!
God Bless,
Tim Contact Tim Browne at: LaCasaHikers@hotmail.com La Casa Hikers Page

Men's Retreat Report
The men of La Casa, 90 strong, gathered September 23-25 in the cool pines of Prescott for an awesome retreat!
We heard from our own five men, Neil Gatten, Doug Hayes, Matt Rochotte, John Odom, and Jorge Quezada, on “Strength for the Journey” with Joshua 1 as our text. Each man shared his faith story and blessed the participants with insight and wisdom as we continue to travel the road of faith and life.
Members of La Sagrada, Resurrection, and First Lutheran in Mesa also participated. Thanks to all who spoke and all who went!
