Breakfast - Saturday, May 4
At the breakfast on Saturday., May 4, as we welcomed Harold Slemmer of the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA). A former ASU football player, Harold is a dynamic speaker, man of faith, cancer survivor, and will speak to us about the role of AIA in developing morals, ethics, and guidelines for student athletes and coaches in the state of Arizona!
At the April Breakfast we heard our own Jorge Quezada speaking on "Faith for Men in Everyday Life". Jorge is active in Men's and Youth ministry here at La Casa, and is married to Jamie; they are the parents of Gavin and Isabella.
At the January Hombres Father/Child Breakfast - Saturday, January 26th, The City of Phoenix Police Department SWAT TEAM and CANINE UNIT came with their equipment and vehicles. The kids had a great time seeing all that stuff and especially the dog. See Pictures.
In February, ASU Head Football Coach Todd Graham, who has rebuilt ASU program and led the Sun Devils to a bowl game was the speaker for this breakfast. He talked little about football. Instead he shared his faith growing up, playing safety at football, and later coaching - now at ASU. His goal is to make a difference.
