Welcome to the 2010 Men's Retreat September 17-19, 2010 Pine Summit Bible Camp, Prescott, Arizona
Welcome to Pine Summit! This will be a new location for us in 2010, and a real blessing as we focus on Dr. Gerali's message to us in the cool pines of Prescott. I am excited about our theme, and how we as men can mentor each other as we receive blessings from Jesus Christ. Along with our retreat team and our leader, Craig Culloton, I am looking forward to this weekend. Each year, God surprises us with an outstanding speaker and miracles happen over the weekend in the lives of men. So, register now, and bring a friend! I look forward to seeing you up north!
Pastor Jeff
Retreat Theme:
As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another. Proverbs 27:17

Dr. Steve Gerali is an actor, consultant, speaker, professor and counselor.
Dr. Gerali will speak to us about men mentoring men, drawing on experience gleaned during his years as a professor and department chair of both undergraduate and graduate programs in youth ministry, adolescent studies, and practical theology at three colleges and seminaries. Most recently he served as professor of youth ministry/practical theology and director of the undergraduate degree program in youth ministry at Azusa Pacific University in Azusa, Calif. Gerali also chaired the department of youth ministries/adolescent studies at Judson College, Elgin, 111., and was director of graduate studies in youth ministry at Northern Baptist Theological Seminary, Lombard, 111. Prior to these, Steve served for over 25 years as pastor of student ministries in various churches.
Steve now serves as a lecturer in youth ministry for six North American colleges and seminaries. He has trained youth workers (one being our own youth director, Neil Gatten) and/or worked with students in 18 countries. Dr. Gerali has conducted continuing education seminars and workshops for a wide variety of organizations: religious, educational, U.S. military, professional sports and athletics, and youth workers. With his wit and understanding of teenagers and culture, "Dr. G." or "Doc" (as many of his students refer to him), is in demand as a speaker to high school and junior high school students, youth workers, and parents at seminars and retreats worldwide.
The author of many books, three of Dr. Gerali's most recent titles include "The Struggle" (2001); "How to Stay Christian in High School" (2004); and "Teenage Guys: Exploring the Issues that Teenage Guys Face and the Strategies to Help Them" (2006).
Steve and his wife Jan live in southern California, where they are now "empty nesters,"but their daughters, Andrea - with husband, Matt, and Alison reside nearby.
