Food and personal supplies are donated and delivered by church members to the food bank on a weekly basis. This is a year-round project just as ‘hunger is a year round problem.’

During our monthly ‘Single Item’ drive, we encourage you to donate other needed items as well. Opportunities are also available for volunteers at the Paradise Valley Emergency Food Bank.

We have wooden bins to collect your offerings, which will be located on the patio in front of the sanctuary on Sunday mornings.

Team leader: Brad Trump - LCdC representative on the PV Food Bank Board

Hungry? Would a can of soup make your day? I doubt it! We live in a community that doesn’t think twice about spending $10 at McDonald’s or $100 at the market. Yet, there are people in our community in NORTHEAST PHOENIX who can’t afford to feed their family soup! We can make a difference in their lives.

Please remember the Paradise Valley Emergency Food Bank as you do your grocery shopping. There are fewer donation sources during the summer months – but the needs of the hungry do not diminish! As always, all food staple items are gratefully accepted anytime, as well as Basha’s milk money certificates.

WHAT DOES THE VOLUNTEER JOB OF TRANSPORTING FOOD FROM LCDC TO PV EMERGENCY FOOD BANK ENTAIL?
Picking up food donated by LCdC members and delivering it to the food bank located at 10862 N. 32nd Street. The items are usually placed in the large wooden bins outside the entrance to the sanctuary each Sunday. HOW OFTEN? One for each week for the next year.
HOW MANY BOXES? The amount varies from week to week and there are usually no boxes but many small bags.
WHEN ARE DELIVERIES DONE? Deliveries are usually done weekly M-F between 9:00am-3:30pm. Volunteers make their own schedule. It is important, however, that the items are delivered weekly to avoid a heavy load for the person the following week. Help is available if need to off load the food at the food bank
APPROXIMATELY HOW MUCH TIME DOES THIS TAKE EACH WEEK? It should take no more than 1 1/2 hour to pick up and deliver the items.

If you are interested and available to help, please sign up at the Information Table on Sunday.
