Confirmation is a pastoral and educational ministry of the Church which helps the baptized child through Word and Sacrament to identify more deeply with the Christian community and to participate more fully in its mission.

At Confirmation a person:

  • Makes his/her confession of faith
  • makes his/her commitment to Jesus Christ. and
  • makes his/her commitment of service and involvement to to the church and its programs.

Confirmation is focused on education, geared toward teaching students about the "basics" of Christian faith, life, community, and history.
It takes four semesters, usually during 7th and 8th grade, and ends with the student and their class getting "confirmed."
