About Afternoon Preschool

Life is busy from the second we get up, until bedtime. In the rush, we forget our children are going just as fast as we are. Our family has found a well kept secret! "Afternoon Preschool"

We enjoy getting up in the morning, without having to rush out the door. My children enjoy the experience of our morning routines. We like our home cooked breakfast (which they help with), Elmo teaching them about email, and Dora counting to them in Spanish. It's like Saturday morning everyday. This is a special time for our family to bond.

I worried that my children may need a nap in the afternoon, but for us it worked quite the opposite. When it's time for school my children are looking forward to the new adventure of the day. They enjoy the socialization and educational roles at school, much more than their nap. They seem stimulated in all the right areas at the end of the day.

Time with our children prepares them for the busy world. To have those hours in the morning allows our children the opportunity to slow the busy world down for just awhile.

 About the La Casa Preschool

“As a first grade teacher and parent, I feel that La Casa Preschool provides the most developmentally appropriate learning environment.  My son has an incredible love for learning, he thoroughly enjoys school, and is extremely confident in all academic areas.  La Casa Preschool not only develops a child’s mind, they also develop a child’s soul by learning about the Lord.”

"While observing different preschools for my son I definitely had in mind what I was looking for: a warm and loving environment to build and develop his character, along with a strong Christian foundation.  La Casa felt like home!”

Kim Hickey
First Grade Teacher

"As the parent of a child with a late summer birthday, I was faced with the decision whether to send my son on to full day Kindergarten or remain for a third year at La Casa. Like many, I struggled with the concept of the value of "the gift of another year of preschool" as it was presented to me.  Even though I agreed with his teachers that the year of social and emotional growth would be a benefit to him, especially since he would have been the youngest in his Kindergarten class, my concerns were that he would be bored or unchallenged, and experience a feeling of "been there, done that".

Nothing could have been further from the truth.  In fact, he thrived in every way, viewing each activity as new to him because it truly was.  It was a new classroom, new teachers, different classmates, different point of view all together.  It provided him with the perfect environment to grow and develop his skills in every developmental area.  He entered Kindergarten the next year as a confident, capable and eager learner who loves school.

La Casa gave him the best foundation.  We look forward to the next years at La Casa with my three-year old daughter.
