Communion
Communion is offered on the first and third Sunday and Saturday of the month. Adults who know Jesus as their Savior and Lord and who understand that He is present in Communion are invited to partake.
Children in the 4th grade and older who have completed the communion class are also welcome. All other children will receive a blessing. Communion is by intinction: communicants receive a wafer (the bread) which they then dip in the cup (the wine). Those who choose not to partake of wine can simply hold the wafer over the cup.
Sanctuary Etiquette
It is wonderful to once again have the beautiful space of a sanctuary that is set aside to worship and glorify God. With that in mind, please remember:
The only meal to be served in the sanctuary is The Lord’s Supper. Please leave all food and drink, including water, outside. (If you have a little one who needs a snack, you may use the Cry Room, located off of the north end of the narthex, where you will still be able to see and hear the service.)
Please remember to turn off cell phones and pagers before you come into worship, or at least turn them to the “vibrate” or “silent” setting if you absolutely must be reachable. The only ringing heard should be the sound of the bell in the bell tower before each service on Sunday morning, or one of the bell choirs during worship.
It is hoped that you will use the time before worship to listen to the prelude music and pray or meditate as you prepare your heart and mind to receive spiritual nourishment.
