Annual Meeting Dates
Election January 3-4 – Annual Meeting January 25
Our annual meeting will be conducted in two phases, beginning with the election of the Board of Trustees and the Nominating Committee members for 2009 on January 3 and 4 at all services. The annual meeting will be on January 25 at 11:45am, in the Sanctuary.
The Board of Trustees Nominees are Ted Cole, Fred Heldt, Ron Meister, Vickie Mullins, Doug Schoenoff, and David Ulibarri. 
The agenda includes acceptance of the annual report for 2008, a vote on the budgets for 2009, and installation of the Board of Trustees and the Nominating Committee elected at the beginning of the month.
The Board of Trustees December 17 Meeting Highlights
- 2009 budgets for the Program and Building funds to be approved by the congregation
- Status of the Fellowship Hall construction and progress on the Memorial Garden
- Nominating Committee recommendations for Board of Trustees and Nominating Committee vacancies, to be voted on by the Congregation January 4, 2009
- Annual Congregation meeting date: January 25
The Board of Trustees November 19 Meeting Highlights
- Financial statements for the month, ending October 31, 2008, were reviewed.
- Progaam Fund stewardship drive results so far were reviewed.
- Progress of the Fellowship Hall addition and memorial garden are on schedule and on budget.
- Community outreach date for 2009 will be March 28.
- Nominating Committee gave a report on candidates for open Board of Trustees position.
- Hiring of new organist will be Dr. Homer Ferguson III.
The Board of Trustees October 15 Meeting Highlights
- Financial statements for the third quarter, ending September 30, 2008, were reviewed. Debt servicing on the construction loan will begin by the end of the first quarter of 2009.
- Nominating Committee will have to replace two Board members who have decided not to run again: Alisa Timm and Pete Faur.
- Follow-up calls for the Program Fund Stewardship campaign will be made October 20 and 21.
- Fellowship Hall construction is on schedule and on budget. Memorial Garden construction begins October 15 and should be completed by Easter 2009.
Board of Trustees September 10 Meeting Highlights:
- Doug Schoenoff, Treasurer, provided a summary of church financial statements.
- The church closed on a house bequeathed to the church.
- Plans for the fall Program Fund stewardship drive were discussed.
- The Board approved a request by Jennaya Robison, Music Director, that the Scottsdale Symphony be allowed to use our premises to practice and hold concerts.
- We’re waiting for a permit from the City of Phoenix to proceed with the proposed Memorial Garden.
Board of Trustees August 13 Meeting Highlights:
- Doug Schoenoff, Treasurer, provided a summary of church financial statements.
- The church will be closing on a residential property bequeathed to the church.
- Review of the Employee Handbook was completed.
- Ron Meister reported on the impact of the just completed mission trip to South Africa.
- Status updates were provided on the organ installation and Fellowship Hall addition.
- Résumé of the newly hired Director of Music was enthusiastically received.
